Stop Foreclosures and Evictions
YES!
I would like to help mobilize for the April 10, 2010 Jobs Protest in Washington, DC!
There are many ways that YOU as a volunteer can help!
First, endorse and lend your name or your group's name to this effort. Be in Washington for the April 10, 2010 March for Jobs on the 75th anniversary of the 1930's Works Progress Administration (WPA), the largest public works program in history that employed more than 8.5 million workers. If you are able, help organize a bus, car or van load of people to come to DC for the demonstration! We can send you flyers and information to distribute to friends, co-workers or fellow students. We can also send an organizer to your group, school, union or neighborhood meeting to speak. Be listed as an organizer for your region and work with other people who are fed up and angry about this crisis. Raise funds to ensure that everyone can participate.
These are just a few of the things you can do. You may have many other ideas yourself.
You can also volunteer to serve as an organizing center for your area. Serving as an organizing center in your area would mean working with other people and groups in your city, school, community, place of worship, union or workplace to organize for the April 10, 2010 March for Jobs in Washington, DC. Organizing tools are available. If you like, we will list you on this Web site as a local contact and can direct people in your area to you.
